Regenerations Wellness Cancer Foundation President, Starr Carson Cleary has been a Health and Fitness Educator in many facets of the fitness industry since 1995.  She is a Cancer Exercise Specialist, Creator of the Triumph Restorative Pilates for Cancer Survivors-(Memorial Hospitals Cancer Services) and  "Keep Your Balance" Programs for cancer survivors and senior adults. Starr is also a Master Fitness Trainer, Advanced Pilates Instructor, Restorative Movement Specialist and “Empowerment through Movement” Motivational Speaker, dedicated to teaching the masses, how to achieve health and fitness goals through movement, motivation, and support.

Starr is the published author of   Restorative Pilates for Cancer Survivors…Taking Back Your Physical Power…One Muscle at a Time. (2010  Independent Book Festival Winner)  A Woman’s Guide…30 Days to A Better, Mind, Body and Spirit”, and the Producer of “StarrPower Pilates” (DVD), Fitness Columnist and Founder of Body Motions by Design Restorative Movement & Wellness Programs.  She works with a variety of individuals and groups  battling cancer and chronic illnesses, offering a variety of therapeutic fitness programs, presentations and unwavering support to individuals to attain a greater quality of life on the road towards recovery.

Starr has used the Pilates principles as the main element in all of her teaching forums for special populations wellness programs. “I love the concept of the mind and body integration movements- body awareness, and quality movements over quantity movements.” The ideology of the "Keep Your Balance" movements teaches the visualization and diaphramatic breathing while encouraging the practitioner to concentrate and focus on control and precision of the movement while the extremities are in motion. 

Orginally the"Keep Your Balance" Program was created and modeled from a evidenced based fall prevention format; out of the need to help increase strength, improve balance, coordination, range of motion and postural alignment for individuals affected by a cancer diagnosis and experiening the after affects of post treatment therapies. The focus of the KYB program is to build a strategic process and to develop an intergrated county-wide plan to implement comprehensive fall prevention strategies for at risk older adults, and cancer survivors to get moving,stay active and be safe through restorative movement and fall prevention awareness.

Starr's main goal and objective: To offer individuals cancer survivors and senior adults an opportunity to progressively take back their physical power…one muscle at a time.”  Class Participants who have experience this unique concept have regained energy and strength, and improved balance and mobility becoming functionally fit, to perform daily activities with ease and enjoy a better quality of life. Currently, the "Keep Your Balance" Fall Prevention Balance, Strength & Mobility classes are held in: Merced (2) Atwater, Winton, Atwater, Livingston and Gustine California.

The Staff: Certified Senior Fitness Instructors, Master Fitness Trainers and Tai Chi Instructors and Cancer Exercise Specialists are well versed in their profession and follow the guidelines of the "Keep Your Balance" Program, training in every class location.

All Wellness Programs are designed to progressively increase strength, mobility,  flexibility and balance, (seated or standing)  by using light resistant bands, 2lb weights and other fitness assessories designed for restorative movement.
